The Global Action on Disability (GLAD) Network may have two or three Co-chairs at a time: one standing and one or two rotating. The Standing co-chair is the International Disability Alliance (IDA) and the current second co-chair is the UK Government and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, started co-chairing in 2025 during Global Disability Summit 2025.
Prior to the UK Government and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the GLAD Network has been co-chaired by United States Government (U.S. Department of State and U.S. Agency for International Development), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, the UK Government, and the Government of Australia.
The term for rotating co-chairs is 3 years: in their first year, they are mentored by the outgoing co-chair, while in their last, they become outgoing co-chair, and mentors the incoming one.
